The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) will be meeting with residents of the mining community of Mahdia,Uruguay Jersey, tomorrow,Brian Leetch Rangers Jersey, to discuss with them the use and distribution of the Mahdia relief fund.The meeting with the Executive members of the association,New York Mets Lucas Duda Jersey, the Mahdia Mining Committee and residents will take place at Ram’s Shop (Desert Storm) at 11:00 hrs.The executive members of the association will discuss how the monies raised through the relief fund can be used to meet their needs.The GGDMA established the Mahdia relief fund after fire destroyed a significant part of the mining community. The conflagration ravaged several businesses and the homes of several residents. As many as 150 persons have been left homeless and the damage in property is still being accessed.Mahdia is the central hub for the mining activities in Region Eight and many of the businesses affected provided vital support for miners.
